When is it prohibited to operate a moped with summer tyres?
Explanation
Mopeds face lighter rules than cars. Summer tyres are banned on them only during the winter months — December, January and February — and during the transitional period (March to November) when the road is snow-covered or icy.
KET reference: KET 230 p.: mopeds, motorcycles, tricycles and quad bikes may not be used with summer tyres in December–February, and in March–November if any part of the carriageway being driven on is snow-covered or icy.
